A New Standard for Interior Design
While our crew often works against the backdrop of the San Juan Islands, rewarding work often happens behind the front door. For this new build, Island Deck and Rail LLC joined Kreider Construction to handle a specialized glass installation.
The goal focused on interior precision, creating a focal point defining the home’s modern character.
Precision Meets Natural Light
Interior glass requires an eye for detail, leaving no room for error. We began by securing Excell Railings 1.75” posts, providing a sturdy, minimalist frame for the staircase. To hold the glass panels securely without overwhelming visual space, we selected Excell “clamshell” glass clamps, providing a clean look that allows natural light to travel throughout the living area.
Clear Views and Quality Components
For the panels, we sourced 1/4” clear tempered glass from Tacoma Glass. Tempered glass offers the safety and strength required for high-traffic indoor areas while maintaining a crystal-clear profile. This combination of materials resulted in a favorite interior install, proving that high-end railings aren’t just for the deck.
